Clinical pearls
- Give as two 2.5g IV boluses no more than 15 min apart
- Specific to dabigatran ONLY — does not reverse rivaroxaban, apixaban, or edoxaban
- RE-VERSE AD trial: complete reversal in 68% within 4 hours
- Cost ~$3,500 per dose — confirm dabigatran use before giving
