Clinical pearls
- FRAX without BMD still provides useful fracture risk estimates
- Glucocorticoid use is one of the strongest modifiable risk factors
- Calcium and Vitamin D are foundational for all patients on osteoporosis treatment
- Never use FRAX in patients already on osteoporosis treatment — it underestimates risk
